Why WISER?
The most sustainably successful executives—those powerful and positive senior leaders and wiser elders in organizations and institutions who we all admire—have found time to pay attention to nourishing the roots on which their leadership canopy depends for health and growth. In the process, they become WISER Leaders: bringing their Whole selves to leadership while being more Inclusive of diverse followers’ and co-leaders’ best contributions, bringing a deep Soulful meaning to their leadership, caring for critical Environments, and using a collaborative Relationality to have a positive, intentional impact.
Why WILDER?
As you will see when you begin the WISER leadership practices, becoming Wiser requires freeing (or “untaming”) elements within that unleash your passion again, things that you may have thought were not appropriate to leadership (Heidi and Renae share examples). And, as you learn to bring more of the unique individual you are into your leadership, you will immediately benefit, as will your followers. As wisdom grows, the leaders I work with lean into their Wilder/est dreams. You learn to lead to bring these dreams into the real world through leading differently.
