Many approaches to leadership preach specific lists of qualities, competencies, and methods that are “the key” to leading. Yet too many of these approaches leave leaders hanging about how to go about developing all these stellar qualities while also continuing with their ongoing responsibilities, like repairing the plane while you’re piloting it.
