Many approaches to leadership preach specific lists of qualities, competencies, and methods that are “the key” to leading. Yet too many of these approaches leave leaders hanging about how to go about developing all these stellar qualities while also continuing with their ongoing responsibilities, like repairing the plane while you’re piloting it. The more experience you have leading, the less helpful these lists of qualities, competencies, and methods become. The executives I work with have told me that it feels like there must be more. There is! I have walked along side experienced leaders for decades as they grew their leadership with the result of having this more: more visibility, more strategic impact, and as a bonus, also more fun and more meaning from their leadership.
This book shows you not only what to do, but how to do it. It is based on my practice with experienced leaders. Wiser Wilder Leadership is written specifically for experienced leaders based on what has worked to bring more to their leadership, based on my research. It fills a gap that leaders I work with have told me exists for them once they become experienced leaders and are looking for the next level, the more.
